We are seeking a Social Media Specialist to join our team who is dedicated to promoting our brand and our affiliates. As a Social Media Strategist, you will be responsible for achieving specific objectives and driving engagement. This role is unique because it provides you with direct access to some of the top leaders in our company and the entertainment industry. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to enhance your skills in copy editing, social media best practices and strategies, and digital publishing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social media strategy

  • Create, curate, and publish content across various social media platforms, including text, images, and videos. 

  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics using analytics tools to measure the success of campaigns and content.

  • Engage with the online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and authentic manner. 

  • Stay current with trends

  • Collaborate with other teams within the organization, such as marketing, creative, and public relations. 

Job Skills & Qualifications:

  • Students working toward a BA degree in a field such as marketing or journalism (or with equivalent years of experience)

    Passion for learning and growing in the marketing field

  • Demonstrated communication and creative skills (educational examples accepted)

  • Ability to work well on a team

  • Excellent communication

  • Must have good organizational skills

  • Able to handle constructive direction and criticism 

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Preferred:

  • Portfolio of past projects or campaigns worked on

  • A strong writer and copy editor with a fierce eye for detail.

  • A social media rockstar, or someone interested in learning the trade—we are happy to teach the right candidate social media best practices

  • Have an interest in learning new technologies

  • A journalism background is a plus

  • Exceptional time management skills as you will be working independently to meet deadlines on a weekly basis

  • A “can-do!” attitude 

  • Have an interest in learning more about management and sharing constructive feedback
